- 1 box Duncan Hines® Yellow Cake Mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup fruit preserves or pie filling, any flavor
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Mix together the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, orange juice, vanilla extract, and baking powder until well combined.
- Form the dough into a ball and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to about 1/8-1/4 inch thickness.
- Cut circles out of the dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.
- Place a small amount of fruit preserves or pie filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the edges of the circle up and pinch them together to form a triangle-shaped cookie with the filling in the center.
- Place the hamantaschen on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
